SVN tortoise 64x Windows 8 modified files icons fix

You might have issue with your SVN modified files after installing SVN on your machine. As i understood after few hours the main problem is in icon's handler ( Don't know why... ).
I have noticed some comments about dropbox. Your might be same as me: I had installed dropbox before SVN. Because of this dropbox's icons appeared in regedit first.

Anyways, i have tried many solutions with preferences, but none helped me out.

The fix I’m about to describe involves tampering with the Windows registry. It’s dangerous and one false move could trash your Windows installation!

All you need to do is delete several regeedit values in this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
so it be in sum less or equals 11 values., else some of icons will be ignored.
In my case I had dropbox icons first, so I left first 3 ones and one which I don't know why it's for with name - EnhancedStorageShell.

After i removed values, Restarted windows. Done! Icons finally appeared.

Turning off wifi network notification

Android phones has default notification for new available wifi network if your device is not connected. Sometimes it is so annoying so you don't turn wifi on.

You can turn it off.

Just go to
1. Settings -> Wifi
2. Press menu button
3. Select advanced
4. Uncheck "Network notification". ( "Notify me when an open network is available" ).
5. Done.

Failed to play test tone

If you got alert message while trying to test is sound is working or not.

For couple of days i noticed that something is wrong with sound. Sound disappears while calling in skype. Sound appears after a while "somewhere" else.. or not.

Drivers reinstall didn't helped.

I dont know why is not working but here some method which might help you to solve the problem.

Method 1 ( some people say helps.. )

1. Go to control panel
2. Double -> Click on the Sound Icon
3. Single -> click the Speakers to highlight them
4. Click on Properties (bottom right corner)
5. Go to the Enhancements Tab and Click on it
6. Now click "Disable All Sound Effects"

Method 2 ( helped me but for a while )

1. Start -> All programs > Administrative tools
2. Open services.
3. Navigate to "windows audi".
4. Right click on it and click "Restart".

Method 3

1. Start -> Run -> "regedit"
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows /CurrentVersion/MMDevices /Audio/Render/
3. Goto the following key in registry {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}. I had 4 of these ones... Open these onces until you see - FxProperties. Click it.
4.a In the right hand side of the registry window change the value of {1da5d803-d492-4edd-8c23-e0c0ffee7f0e},5  -> (value type is REG_DWORD) to 1 (one) instead of 0 (zero).
5. Done.

4.b INCASE YOU DON'T FIND THE ABOVE MENTIONED KEY UNDER fxproperties, PLEASE CREATE IT BY YOURSELF. (COPY & PASTE

TYPE IS REG_DWORD AND PUT VALUE 1
The audio start working at the moment you change the above value !!! (even before closing the registry editor).

JQuery remove !important

I have searched a lot. And i couldn't find solution how to remove the option. But i found that you can set another one attribute with jquery with important option, so you could overlap old style.

Here is code i have used for changing background-color of element - body which had background-color attribute with important option.

If you still dont know why you get the error:

Your google analytics code had "subdomain" enabled mode. for example www.igloro.info is main domain, and kambariokai.igloro.info is subdomain and it has enabled subdomain mode.
When I have tried to create experiment I got the error.

Solution:

1. Open your google analytics code and copy _setDomainName.
2. Open code which you have added into your . And add code before experiment code replacing domain name with your one:

Solution

Solution for this is pretty simple. Google made page for iPhone users which uses calendar, so they could select which calendar to sync.

1. Go to https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect

Send highlighted text to Email Chrome extension

I was looking for extension for several days, but couldn't find it anywhere.

All i could find is tutorials how to make chrome extension and similar topic on stackoverflow with simple code how to make the extension.

So what i did.

1. Learned some simple chrome extension tutorials

3. Created simple extension which uses external domain with file which sends emails.

At first i have tried to make new tab with standart Gmail sender, but i failed at it. Because text in the case can be sent only by $_GET parameters, and Gmail has limits - about 2000 symbols. So it means max length of email is smaller than 2000 symbols.

Solution to this was to use external domain with sender.php.

meta tag is not good way for me... so i found fastest redirector with javascript.

How to clean Gmail fast

If you didnt deleted mails from your gmail for ages, and you want to delete some of them and archive other ones than you came to right place.

Here is how to do it.

Once mails sent to delete i double press on "uncheck/check all" checkbox to select all mails which are left. Once they are selected i archive them. It takes about 5-15 secs per Time label. ( +5-30 extra load )

So if you have like 40 time labels, it will take you like 40 x 1min = 40 minutes to delete everything.

Reason for this that you have not activated your facebook account on your device.
